If every dream is its own interpretation, then every painting is a letter written by its viewer.
The imaginative and original native of the dream planet, Dreamlander, invites you into its world—into a realm that stretches beyond time and this world—offering a space where your own spirit may ferment among the works of a soul untethered by ordinary boundaries.
In the world of artist Uğur Ulusoy, the dream is not merely a nocturnal experience; it is the wellspring of an intuitive creative process. The artist uses his brush as if dipped in “the candy of emotion and color,” crafting each detail as a meticulous reflection of the subconscious. In Dreamlander, every hue and figure appears as a message rising from the depths of the unconscious. The layered nature of the dream world finds resonance in the compositions throughout the exhibition, blurring the boundary between dream and reality as it traces the journey of a nomadic spirit. Ulusoy’s works present a reality that, like the dream realm, transforms and evolves with time.
Curated by Fatma Leylâ Ak, Dreamlander invites viewers on a dreamlike journey where reality and reverie interweave, on view at Summart from May 16 to June 30.
